Knowing what a positive influence performing arts has on young people she worked with fellow alumni, formed a board of directors, and began the long road to launching a new Drum Corps. She was elected President and served for 5 years, within that time the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp was established and fielded in the Drum Corps International Family.

In 2005 she stepped down as Board President and moved on to serve other worthy causes. One as Board President of Covenant Shelter for 7 years. She is currently Treasure of the Board for the Inter-district School for Arts and Communication (ISSAC) a Charter School grades 6-8. She also served on the Board of Education for New London Public Schools.

With Drum Corps in her blood, she has come back to her roots and is proudly serving as the President of 7th Regiment. Her goal is to build a stronger foundation, help support the growth of the student population, and take 7th Regiment to the next level in Drum Corps.
