7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps is seeking an On-Site Medical Lead for the 2024 season! This position requires a trained medical professional who would be responsible for overseeing the health of members and staff on the road.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Medical License current and in good standing (MD, EMT, or RN preferred, other experience may be taken into account)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Able to work in varied rehearsal and housing environments
  • Ability to multitask/manage multiple medical cases at once
  • Delegate out to support staff as necessary
  • Familiarity with drum corps/marching arts environment/health risks preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present and available at all rehearsals, camps, and on tour
  • Process intake and maintenance of member health information
    Communicate to admin, caption heads, and techs any health conditions to be aware of
  • Monitor and maintain first aid supplies, coordinate with admin for restocking
  • Wellness check ins with members and staff
    Responding to on-site medical needs and emergencies as needed
  • Coordinating clinic visits as needed
  • Communicate with caption managers and admin concerning potential health risks regarding weather/environmental conditions, including but not limited to water breaks, excessive heat, storm conditions
  • Manage health and safety of members and staff at all events and on tour

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
This position is structured around the organization’s schedule and would require the applicant to be in person with the drum corps at all rehearsals, camps, and on tour.

COMPENSATION
The On-Site Medical Lead will receive seasonal wages, with housing, transportation, and food included while traveling with the corps over the summer.

7th Regiment is seeking a kitchen manager for the 2024 season! This candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality meals for the performers, educators and support personnel on the road. As the kitchen manager, you will work closely with the Tour Admin to ensure the kitchen is running efficiently and effectively. This candidate should have great organizational skills in the kitchen, ability to plan a menu, ability to manage a shifting kitchen crew, and the ability to cook for 100 plus people. Must be highly motivated and self-starting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Create a weekly menu including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack, including substitutes for people with dietary restrictions
  • Oversee a rotating staff of cooks and volunteers
  • Schedule volunteer tasks on daily basis
  • Directly oversee all preparation of meals
  • Ensure the kitchen is up to code on safety and cleanliness
  • Manage inventory on the road
  • Work with administration to order replenishments on the road
  • Train volunteers on safety and proper food preparation
  • Work with administration to ensure quality meals for everyone on tour
  • Other responsibilities as they develop, based on interest areas and organization
    needs

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in field is a plus, but not essential
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and able to be on all of tour
  • 2 or more years experience in food industry, management, or catering is a plus
  • Must be composed in a potentially stressful environment (ie. the kitchen)
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, punctual, motivated, and flexible
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accountability
  • Must be ServSafe certified, or willing to get certified

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
Part time positions will be structured around the corps’ summer tour and require travel with 7th Regiment. Summer positions run from the months of June-August (start and end dates are flexible and based on schedule).

COMPENSATION
The kitchen manager is a paid part-time position. Compensation will include seasonal wage, housing, transportation (conditional), and food provided to those traveling with the corps.
