Announcing Our 2019 Drum Major

New London, CT – 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps is proud to announce it’s 2019 Drum Major with the appointment of third year member Serenity Morris.

Serenity has been a member of 7R Brass as a part of the mellophone line. She is a recent graduate of Westmoreland High School in Westmoreland, New York and is a freshman Music Education major at Grove City College in Pennsylvania.

When asked about how 7th Regiment has impacted her, Serenity responded, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead this amazing group of people. 7th Regiment is such a dedicated family that supports each other no matter what they may encounter. I am so proud every time I put my corps necklace around my neck. It represents the people and the organization that mean more to me than anything else.

Kevin Lowery, executive director, expressed his excitement over the decision. “Serenity truly embodies what we believe a corps member and student leader should be. She is a motivated young woman and possesses an infectious amount of energy. I am truly confident that Serenity will do great things with the 2019 corps and beyond!”

Serenity adds “This upcoming season I hope to continue the strength we share in family, but also to push the boundaries. Drum major is the person who walks first…who leads the team into the battle. However, a leader would be nothing without the family that follows and supports them.

7th Regiment will hold auditions for the 2019 season during the weekend of December 14-16. Click here for more details… https://www.seventhregiment.org/audition/
