Announcing the 2018 Student Leadership

New London, CT – 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps is proud to announce our 2018 student leadership, who will be joining our returning Drum Major Leslie Abreu.

LESLIE ABREU – DRUM MAJOR

Leslie is a freshman international business major at Roger Williams University. Leslie is entering her 4th year with 7th Regiment,  having been a member of the baritone line for two summers, and now in her second year as drum major. She is a proud graduate of New London High School (CT). “It is an incredible honor to be a part of such an amazing organization. I am extremely excited to see how much 7th Regiment will grow this season. I am so proud of the talented individuals involved in making all happen.

 

 

 

ANDREA DICESARE – HORN SERGEANT

Andrea attends Central Connecticut State University, where she is an Exercise Science major. She is from Southington, CT and is a graduate of Southington High School. A fourth year member of 7R Brass, Andrea is a third year tuba player, and started with 7th Regiment in 2015 on trumpet. This year marks Andrea’s age out summer. “I’m sad that I’m aging out, but happy to have spent my whole drum corps career with 7R. I can’t wait to see how great we make this season and how far we grow!

 

 

 

 COURTNEY BRENNAN – HORN SERGEANT

Courtney is a freshman at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst , where she is a Music Education major. This will be her third year with 7R Brass, all as a member of the mellophone line. Courtney hails from Newton, NJ where she graduated from Kittatinny Regional High School.This is my 3rd year calling 7th Regiment home, and I’ve never been more excited to see what the corps will bring. I feel so honored to be working with such a great leadership team, and I’m pumped to start getting great things done with the corps this season!

 

 

 

LILY POLLARD – PERCUSSION SERGEANT

Lily is a senior at Plainfield High School (CT) and is in her 3rd year in the 7th Regiment Front Ensemble, having played vibraphone, and marimba. She will be attending the University of Hartford’s Hartt School this fall, double majoring in Music Education and Percussion Performance. This will be Lily’s 2nd year as a member of the student leadership team. “I am so excited to be back this year! I love being around my second family! I changed so much within my first year, and I grew so much as a person and a musician. I made some of my best friends! I am excited to see all the vets coming back, and I’m antsy to see where the season takes us this year! I feel like this year is going to be outstandingly special!”

 

 VICTOR YOU – PERCUSSION SERGEANT

Victor is a freshman at Widener University, where he majors in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He is a 2nd year member of 7R Percussion, both with the tenor line. Victor hails from Hatboro, Pennsylvania and is a recent graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School. 7R has taught me so much as an individual and as a performer. Being able to perform at my max is an amazing feeling, and I hope to inspire more and more members to perform at their max! I think this season will be unique, but in great way! This summer is going to a great one for all of us!

 

 

 

 

 

KATELYNN HYDE – GUARD SERGEANT

Katelynn is entering her 4th year as a member of 7RCG, having started with the corps in 2015. She is from Preston, CT and is a graduate of Norwich Free Academy. Katelynn plans to pursue a career as a hairdresser and makeup artist in the future. “I’m extremely honored to be chosen as one of the guard sergeants, and I’m confident that the leadership team will do an amazing job guiding the corps this summer!

 

 

ANNIKA LARSON – GUARD SERGEANT

Annika is from Trumbull, CT where she is a junior at Trumbull High School. She is a third year member of 7RCG, having began her time with the corps in 2016. “I am super excited to continue my journey with 7th Regiment as a color guard sergeant this season. I can’t wait to see this corps light up the field!
